your floor
decides the price.

Most Maltese tiles sit on torba, a loose rubble and lime bedding. Resin cannot go over torba. Lift the tiles, find torba, and a screed has to go down first. That one fact is the single most common reason a quote lands higher than people expect.

Laying straight over sound existing tiles usually avoids it altogether, and it is faster and far less mess. Ask whoever surveys your floor to check before anyone discusses money. If they do not raise it themselves, that tells you something too.

How long does epoxy flooring last in Malta?

A properly installed epoxy floor lasts 10 to 20 years. Heat, sea air and humidity accelerate wear on a poor install, which is why marine grade hardeners and UV stable topcoats matter more here than elsewhere. Outdoors is a different question, because standard epoxy chalks in direct sun.

What does epoxy or resin flooring cost in Malta?

Typically €25 to €60 per square metre, depending on the condition of the floor, the finish and how much preparation it needs. Small jobs carry a minimum charge, because setup costs much the same at 5 m² as at 50 m².

How long does installation take?

Most residential floors take 1 to 2 days, commercial and industrial 2 to 4. Curing between coats sets the schedule more than laying does, so ask for the date you can walk on it rather than the date they pack up.

Do I need to prepare the floor before you arrive?

No. Grinding, cleaning and crack repair are part of the job. Clear the furniture and the installer handles the rest.

Do you do anti-slip for businesses?

Yes. Coatings, grit additives and floor markings for warehouses, factories, car parks, schools and commercial kitchens, compliant with EU workplace safety standards. Documented pendulum slip testing is available separately.
